Spare parts management is an elementary part of maintenance in the automotive industry.
The total market for car and commercial vehicle parts in Germany has a volume of around €26.5 billion.
There is a daily flow of goods between around 21,500 independent garages and 500 companies in the automotive parts wholesale trade.

However, spare parts that are not required are often transported between the workshop and the dealer.
This is usually caused by the classic parts search. If you search for a spare part, you often get long lists of possible results, including many parts that do not fit the vehicle. The precise manual checking and verification of the compatibility of the part by the workshop is very time-consuming.
A common practice is therefore to order several items and return the wrong or unneeded parts.
In addition, the returned items cannot always be offered for sale again by the retailer.
Apart from this, there are usually fees for restocking.

Our goal at CarKit24 is to optimise parts identification and reduce the number of incorrect orders.
Through automated additional tests, we narrow down results further and identify spare parts with a significantly higher accuracy of fit.

and thus contributes to resource optimization in various business areas.
